Five Great Travel Tech Gifts you can buy Yourself

Five Great Travel Tech Gifts you can buy Yourself

We have all had this experience at one point or another when we hoped and wished someone would buy us that cool piece of travel tech. But usually unless we drop serious hints those travel tech masterpieces we want will not simply appear at the holiday party or family gift exchange at your Aunt Mathilda’s house that ended with you being the recipient of an intolerably ugly holiday sweater. Maybe it has Rudolph the Reindeer on the front and his nose lights up just to draw more attention to … [Read more...]

2016 Infotainment Experts List of Best In-Home and on the go Wireless Speakers

Written by James Hamel Celine Dion quite famously kicked the ass of the song “All by Myself” and its final minute and a half of orchestral sonic cheesiness with her much vaunted French Canadian vocal prowess. It was hard to believe when you first heard her covering that song that so much VOICE was coming out of so small a human being. The same is true of the following small compact wireless speaker systems meant for use in the home or on the … [Read more...]

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Headphones are Our Pick Under $500

Written by Robert Rowzee So my wife is confused by me. Not in an angry, yelling at me kind of way. Or a “I speak French to her because she doesn’t speak that language just to piss her off” kind of way either. I’m talking about the look she gives me when I’m doing something that leaves her befuddled as to why she married the monkey in front of her. The latest instance of this came recently as I was banging my hands on my office desk in time with Rodrigo Y Gabriela’s “Tamacun.” Not that she … [Read more...]

Types of Headphones and You. A Primer.

Types of Headphones and You. A Primer.

Music has always been extremely popular, but it wasn't until fairly recently with the advent of the smartphone that people had their music with them literally 24/7.  So what type of headphone should you be using? With portable cassette players, radios, and cd players, people had to add an extra device and an extra step to their day all of which makes owning headphones a necessity.  Now more cars are coming without CD players because the main source of music and data is done through streaming. … [Read more...]

Bowers and Wilkins P7 Headphone Review: Stylish Sound

Bowers and Wilkins P7 Headphone Review: Stylish Sound

The first thing you notice about the Bowers and Wilkins P7 headphones is the amazing build quality and style these headphones have. Curiously, the audio cable is detachable but the plug is under one of the earcups, meaning a pulled cable may not come out right away. The black brushed aluminum ear cups, the intricate chrome ear-cup supports, premium fabric covers over the speakers themselves, and magnetically attached soft leather ear pads, soft leather headband, minimalist remote control, all of … [Read more...]

James Hamel

James Hamel began his auto career in the service department of a Ford dealer because he wanted to learn first hand how all automotive technology worked. Then he got a job at Automotive.com and Truckin' where he first worked on graphic design and online layouts which all eventually led to him to freelance reporting for sites like Autobytel, The Car Connection, Yahoo!, Examiner, Gaywheels.com and more. His experience writing hundreds of in-depth car reviews helped him come up with the idea for InfotainmentExperts.com, a site he co-founded with Joshua Stone. According to James, the site is meant to help anyone understand the latest tech trends in automotive, wireless, audio and more.

Co-Founder

Joshua Stone and James Hamel met and formed Infotainment Experts.com quite by accident. But it was not totally without serendipity as many valuable characteristics each one found in the other. Josh, busy with his beautiful daughter is also writing, editing and also inventing new products a few of which he will be launching quite soon.

Like anyone who reviews the latest technological wonders of the world, Robert Rowzee just loves gadgets and gizmos of all types; from headphones to connected smart light bulbs, to HTPCs.  He could talk about it all day and the downside for some closest to him is that he won’t shut up about it.

Still, to others this overall knowledgeability made him the perfect person to turn to with their issues and questions. So it was a natural for InfotainmentExperts.com to want him on our staff and when given the chance to bloviate about do-dads and geegaws online with us, he saw an opportunity.

By day Robert work in the automotive business slinging databases.  By night, he is usually wiring new light fixtures to a complex smart ecosystem to test something new.  Or I'm creating playlists to use when test driving audio products. Or maybe that was just an average Tuesday in the life of Robert Rowzee—Infotainment Expert.
